Free Childbirth Classes
As a Free Public Service, we offer a series of 6 childbirth classes, that meet once per week. Recommended for women to start between their 24th to 28th week. Classes are available in English and Spanish and are open to the public. Topics include: The Stages of Labor, Nutrition, Birth Control, Breastfeeding, Complications, and New Baby Care. We teach well-being exercises, relaxation and breathing techniques for labor. Starting dates for the series are:

Free Daddy Boot Camp for Our Fathers-to-Be!
A 2 hour class for men only registration is required Topics include: Pregnancy, Birth, Partner support, and Fatherhood.

Miami Maternity Center is proud to be the location of the International School of Midwifery.
FREE Midwifery School! After 30 years of training midwives, Shari Daniels, director, has decided to train qualified students tuition free. If you have a calling to assist mothers during their pregnancy and birth, this may be the place for you!

This program is very unique as it offers all the classes needed as well as the clinical experience. During the three year program it is required that you complete 900 class room hours and 900 clinical hours. A new class will start August 2008.
